The film starts out with a fascinating premise of a bunch of privileged
strangers coming to an island, where they're expecting to take part in an
exclusive culinary experience served by on of the worlds prime chefs and
his crew at Hawthorne's. However as the evening unfolds some courses turn
out to be quite dangerously surprising and not everybody is who they said
they are...
It is an interesting story with a few twists and turns and stellar acting,
but I still was left with a feeling of "what is the point of this?" in the
end, because the resolution doesn't really do the opening 45 minutes
justice in my opinion. The film ties up all the loose ends in a great
fire, which I found to be rather crude. But still worth a watch, if only
for the performances.
