1. The head of the COP28 climate summit, who is the CEO of an oil company, recently defended fossil fuels. Al Jaber: "I don't think [you] will be able to help solve the climate problem by pointing fingers or contributing to the polarization and the divide that is already happening in the world." 2. Curiously enough, the fossil fuel tycoon and climate disinformation spreader Charles Koch is funding an institute to study the issue of polarization. Koch at desk writing a check with framed pictures on the wall reading "Tea Party founding father" and "Heartland Institute". Koch: America's political divide -- so sad! 3. It seems the concept of "polarization" is a trojan horse for allowing corruption without opposition. Sign on wall says "Welcome to COP28". Two protesters hold signs reading "PHASE OUT NOW" and "OUR FUTURE IS FOSSIL FREE." American oil executive: These kids are so angry and uncouth. Middle eastern oil executive: Truly they are the world's greatest problem. 4. The future is sure to be harmonious. COP48 held in a biodome sponsored by Petroglom as smokestacks fill the air with soot and oil flare burns. Skeleton of protester on ground with sign saying "NO MORE OIL." Oil exec: Ah, so much less polarization now!
